Short one budgie
If you haven't heard already, Aubri, my little budgie boy, has passed away.
He'd been sick for maybe a year or so,... birds hide it well. He took a drastic downturn last weekend, so I found an avian vet and made him an appointment, which my mother had to take him to on monday. The vet said there wasn't much we could do, other than tests that would show we should put him down anyway. They gave him some meds to make him comfortable, and brought him home.
He went sometime in the night.
Now he's in the garden, beneath the ornamental maple where the locals teach their chicks to fly.
Fly high, little bird, fly far. I'll miss you.
