oh, hello
oh hi lj! It's been forever. How have you been?
I've decided I'm going to start updating this thing again. It can't hurt.
I'm currently at work at First Magnus Financial Corp. Thanks to Liz, I got in touch with this temp agency called Emerson Personnel Group which placed me for 2 weeks here. The pay is good ($10 an hour) but all I do is answer phones. I've been here for an hour and I'm already bored. So send me fun text messages, or emails to gmail.
I'm home for break, obviously. Got my final grades today and I don't think I could be more pleased. A's in both honors seminars, A in accounting (!!) and A+ in Econ (?!!). Another 4.0 semester. And I partied more this semester than any other. Is it bad that I consider that more of an accomplishment than a 4.0 without partying? haha. So my cum. gpa is now a 3.93. Awwweeesome.
So fall '06 was basically some of the greatest months of my life. No joke. I had an amazing semester with the trebs (we sound better than we ever have before, check us out on you tube! search for "umd treblemakers"), my job was amazing, my coworkers are amazing, and I got a position in SUSA- vp of marketing for 2007. Sweet. basically, things are looking awesome. I'm glad to be home but I'm really pumped for the spring semester.
In the meantime, here are my winter break goals-
-apply to lots and lots of internships (in NYC, DC, and Philly)
-lose 15 lbs (totally serious here, the diet started tuesday and I am NOT backing down this time - I will be so much happier with myself if I lose weight and keep it off.)
-make some money (already working on that one)
-see everyone from home that I love
-see people from school that I love (hoping to make a maryland loop one weekend and visit everyone that I can...kirsten, kel, grace, reem, ashley and lacy maybe, and hopefully swinging to CP as well)
-go skiing?
-read lots of books
-play video games
-watch tv (it's my vice of choice)
-maybe do some interviews for internships?
is that too many goals?
also, here are my exciting travel plans-
-hopefully, trebs spring tour to NYC
-spring break in OBX with the imagers?
-ENGLAND IN MAY to visit erica. this one IS happening. as soon as i get my finals schedule and my internship schedule i am buying a ticket.
-rebecca and alexa coming to CP (that's not me traveling but it's still super fun)
as i stated earlier, i love my life. it is amazing. i have the most awesome friends and family and i am really really lucky.
okay, i should probably do some work...or pretend that i'm not on lj. anyway, distractions appreciated between now and jan. 5 :-D
