Tuesday - Hating my job at David's Bridal, no leads on teaching job, stressed. Although I haven't really applied anywhere yet because I thought I needed to take this test first so they know I'm highly qualified.
Wednesday, 7:30 am - Random call from HR at Galena Park ISD asking if I wanted a Journalism job, they found my name/number from iteachTEXAS, a program I am no longer with because I hated it. Now I'm in Texas Teachers. I tell the guy I am certified in Speech Communication, he says OH! We also have a speech teacher spot we've been having trouble trying to fill! (and school starts in like 3 weeks mind you)... So he asks if I'm interested and I say yes and he asks me to email him my resume. I'm at Ben's parents house but luckily brought my laptop so I had my old resume on it and revamped it to impress someone wanting to hire a speech teacher, email it to him, he emails me back saying he'll forward it to North Shore High School's principal.
Thursday, 3:00 pm - I'm getting ready for work, still in the shower, when principal at North Shore calls me asking if I want to interview. I say yes. It's tomorrow morning at 11:00. Even though I'm supposed to be at work at David's Bridal at 11, I say yes. :)
Friday, 10:45 am - OF COURSE I arrive early. :) I meet the principal, we chat, he gives me the TOUR, he tells me to call him the next day and let him know if I'm interested. Almost in the bag.
Today, Saturday, 4:30 am - I get up because I have to take this Speech 8-12 TExES Exam which I pretty much didn't study for. It was at 8:00 am in Sugar Land, but I had to be there at 7:30, and I wasn't familiar, and wanted to get there early and study and whatnot. We have five hours to finish the test and I finish in 1 hour and 6 minutes. I'm pretty sure I aced it. Or at least passed.... which is all they need. Then I call the principal and let him know I'm still interested in the job, and he tells me he's offering it to me and he'll get the paperwork going on Monday. I got the jobbbbb!
I am 1000000% positive this was a God thing, thank you to everyone who was praying for me, and thank you GOD!.
