Well..

Well, that clothing sale was not much XD I might give it one more go later on, with me actually wearing the items to give a better idea of fit and look, but at the same time I wouldn't mind donating it to charity :)

Last night was spend with a dear friend, making a mega-cupcake. It was a colourful success, but the ingredient list is enough to give anyone (PCG) Puritanical Cake Guilt; 500gr butter, 500gr sugar, 500gr self raising flour and 10 eggs(!). The result however, is most pleasing.

A multi colour base, filled with raspberry jam. The top covered with rum icing, lavishly decorated with jelly diamonds, and edible paper daisies. Oh, and a cherry on top of course!

Once work is done today in the workshop I hope to pop out to the beach, and to the point, to gather some rushes for me Brighid's cross.

In other news on the 23rd of January 'Bob' was released. Bob is a pigeon that had probably survived being shot in the neck. Later on it was probably hit by a car and unable to fly. Mr. Richardson found him hiding under his car when he was about to dive off. Eventually he managed to corner the creature and bring it home.

On the second day I removed a giant mass of dirt, and old muck (including feathers that had been pulled into the body) from the neck. A fairly big mass for such a small bird neck, and it stank! I cleaned up the wound, and inside it looked pretty good. The next day Bob was doing much better. The wound was closing (I'm amazed at how fast they heal!) and the swelling in the wing was going down.

After a thorough look-over I realized that no bones were broken, just a couple of feathers missing. By the third day these started to re-emerge as well.

We kept him for another week, until the feathers were pretty much half-way, and then released him. The wound in the neck had closed and new feathers had started to poke through. Amazing! I released him from my hands at ground level, and he went straight up. He perched down perfectly on the neighbor's roof, and spend a while watching us, then started preening himself. After a few minutes he finally went on his way :)
