So yeah, I put a small dent in my car yesterday. Okay, bad joke. Nobody should be worried, I'll be alright, I'm a pretty sore right now.. kind of feel like I hit a house. Ha ha haa..
I was on my way to drama, hot cocoa in one hand, and the steering wheel in the other. The roads sucked big time, and I blame it mostly on my tires. I could barely make it up to hill into wells bridge, shifting gears and sliding like crazy. Buy the time I started back down I had swerved pretty damn good.
I don't remember anything from hitting, I just remember this girl asking me if I was alright though the passengers side window. I could barely see with all the blood down my face. I went up to touch my head, and there was practically nothing there. Then I started to cry. I could see the damage on the house, and I started to apologize, they were really nice, and said, don't worry about it, we just want to make sure you are okay. I took out a chain fence, a small tree thingy, bounced off the house and hit the porch. They asked me for my name and age for 911, then my number and mom's name to call my house. I couldn't move, I thought I broke me neck, or my shoulder. I heard the fire whistle and the police siren. All I could think about is my head, and how loose everything felt.
They put on a neck brace and rolled me onto the stretcher. They kept reporting back saying they couldn't stop the bleeding, and there were 3 major cuts down to the skull. I kept saying that I must be dreaming, there is no way that I'm in this position, I don't remember crashing. The car was totaled, there goes my insurance, there goes my licence, no more driving..
When I got to the ER, the pain really started to get to me. I couldn't stay still, my headache was more than a migraine, and the bleeding still hadn't stopped. They wheeled me in for a cat scan and I could see the refection of my face in the glass. My eye was swollen along with most of my chin and my upper lip. I had major rugburn from the air bag, which actually caused most of my injuries. I'm way too small for an air bag, and I sit way to close so I can reach the clutch- another reason why I hate standard.
Luckily nothing was broken, so they were able to start the stitches. That was one hell of a face lift. But easily, the most painful part. The numbing shit needle thingy was fricken huge, and in order to numb it up right, they had to peel back the flap and insert it right near the skull.
After a while I was sent up to the PEDS unit, and finally got a chance to take a break. But the end of the night I was feeling a bit better with all the pain killers. Luckily when they stitched/stapled me up, they didn't actually shave, but from the accident, I lost quite a bit of hair. It came out in huge chunks, and I still get a bit now and then. Hopefully it wont be that noticeable, but the fact that I how have red hair is pretty interesting- mom said it might stay that way too.
I look a lot better today than I did yesterday; Mostly just the hair, my chin, a few cuts and my out-of-line jaw. The doctor doesn't want me in school till Wednesday or so. It will be kind of nice to relax, but that just means more stress about the Hamlet project. Emily is going to bring me the homework for the next few days bless her heart :)
I'm sure this entry is a bit jumbled or whatever, but yeah, just wanted to inform everyone. I made it public.
