Take Down The Mistletoe

Well, obviously the cheerful, joyful-spirited holiday we all know and love is over. Christmas. Yes, and a merry Christmas it was. The month of constant shopping, wrapping, and whatever else it is that you do has now come to an end. We put it aside until the next year approaches and we do it all over again. I enjoyed this Christmas. No complains, no regrets, no coal. Not that I ever got coal before because, hey, I don't think it exists really, but I thought I'd slip it in there. Christmas Eve me and the fam partied at my house, as tradition has it. In our newly added 'White Elephant' segment I chose a Barnes and Noble gift card. Stole it from Ant, but I don't think he minded. He picked up a magnetic dartboard, checkers, chess piece. Not my thing, but I'm not one to pick sides. The male portion of my family treated themselves to "Dodgeball" so us ladies just sat around, reminisced and played with the little ones. Human bowling. Yes, that was it. Eight and four year olds come up with the cutest games. Me, being a pin, when hit with the exercise ball, would fall over. Sttttttttrike! Frequently I had to check Santa's radar for these rugrats. "Rosie, can we see where Santa is?" Of course little ones. There was a bit of a controversy. As I said earlier that magnetic game Anthony got, well, him and my uncle were playing. The problem, however was, can you jump yourself in checkers? I looked on the internet and only the 'opposing' team can be jumped. If any of you know differently, we would love to hear from you. Now on to the presents. Christmas Day, what a wonderful day. The presents are nestled safely under the tree, the lights gleam from the darkness of the room, and your patience cannot withstand any longer. Rip after rip. Present after present. Everything I wanted has came in contact with my hands. Clothes. Digital camera printer. Pocketbook. Perfume. Wallet. Jackets. So many exciting gifts I can't even remember. I loved it, a lot. Breakfast time at the aunt's was next on the agenda. Mmm. Every breakfast food you could imagine. My uncle takes care of us for this other tradition we carry on. Links, my cousins' cute puppy was also an exciting treat. She loves to jump and run and did she do just that. For dinner we all went to my uncle's. The little kids were surely spoiled by Santa. Me and my cousins managed to play pool and grocery store for more than we wanted. Sarafina is also a new member of the family. My little cousin's stuffed animal cat. Sarafina? I don't exactly know why that's her name, but if you like it, sure. Lots more happened on this very merry Christmas, but my hands are sore from typing and I have more presents to open. So live long, and prosper. My one-year livejournal anniversary is coming up, so hopefully I'll write before then. If not, Happy Anniversary, you. Until next time/next year. Whatever comes first. <3
