One more. Why not? This one's got minimal synth AND funeral doom. Ready at sendspace.

01. Amon Tobin - The Killer's Vanilla
02. Regina Spektor - Ballad of a Politician
03. Trance to the Sun - Sleeping with the Natives
04. This Ascension - Angel Light
05. Evoken - Antithesis of Light
06. The National - Cherry Tree
07. Deine Lakaien - Overpaid (Acoustic)
08. Keluar - Detritus
09. Film Noir - Fluid Idols
10. Dead Boys - What Love Is
11. Sky's Gone Out - Liquid People
12. Tannhauser Gate - Sex, Money, Crime
13. Light House - Walls Want Communion
14. Current 93 - Crowleymass Unveiled

I don't know what to make of The National? "Cherry Tree" backs the closing credits in the documentary If a Tree Falls: A Story of the Earth Liberation Front, and is a perfect match for the mood. That's the best documentary I've seen in years, and I don't know how much of that impact I'm reading back into the song. But I think the song is awfully good.

Owing to inadequate integration with the internet, I didn't learn until way after the fact that Deine Lakaien crowdfunded a second acoustic album. The peppier songs benefit more from the prepared piano treatment than the ballads. Exhibit A is "Overpaid."
