Heck yes cinco de mayo!
I took my last final today. And I got my paper back that I wrote in latin american studies.
I wrote my paper over what made the Inca empire so great. Going off of what I have learned
in the past, I figured that I should find a very reliable source to find a nice chunck of
my evidence. So I got the book "Royal Commentaries of the Incas" which is by a mestizo
(half native, half spanish). Thinking that since he was raised by his Incan mother, he would
be a very credible source. He would know more ins and outs than the Spanish men who knew nothing
of their ways. Well, I quoted him a lot in my paper. The teacher didn't like this. She wrote on
my paper that he isn't a reliable source because he is an Inca. Since he is an Inca we can't
rely on him to tell the complete truth about his ancestors.
So all those things that she asked our class about US history, does that mean that she can't
believe our class because those are our ancestors?
In my paper, I would always restate quotes and paraphrases in more simple terms. She marked about
half of my restatements and asked where my source was. Um, the sentence before! I was restating the
quote! HELLO!
I still got an A- on it.
So Little House on the Prarie is on. I used to love the show. However, I'm starting to get a few pet
peeves about the show. First off,On ward Christian soldiers is the only hymn that they sing in church.
Second, Dr. Baker is always dressed in a suit, even when he is called in the middle of the night. What
is that? Doesn't he wear pajamas? He does wear farmers clothes when he tries to quit being a doctor,
but he decides that he sucks as a farmer and dons his suit again. Third,
Why is Mary always the daughter that gets sick? She has an infection which requires an operation.
She goes blind. And I think there is another time she is in the hospital, but I'm not sure. Honestly!
And this is all before she gets married! She is married for half of the series!
Anyway.
I should start packing. It is quite sad. I'm going to miss this house. And most of the people in it.
Next year I am living with Ann and Keith. I don't think we will have near the amount of problems with
messes that we have had this year. There are fewer people, and they are people who clean up after
themselves, generally. Ann has a problem with cleaning the bathroom.
I just saw a commercial for Dr. Shulls (sp) gel inserts for heals! Heck yes! I think that I will
be buying those if I have to teach!
I have a lot of stuff to take car of. I'll catch you all later! I hope that you all have a great summer!
