I'm taking a break from all the store sample knitting to knit a baby blanket for one of my neices.... 3 years old screams brights and washable, so I'm using Caron Simply Soft in the bright line. Size 6 circs and the logcabin pattern from Mason Dixon Knitting (browsed at Barnes and Noble yesterday). I can't tell you how addictive this is, just knit, knit, knit! Not even any counting! These colors represent 6 of the 7 in the blanket, the other is a bit of a periwinkle.... Since I will actually be making two blankets (Ani is 3 and Celia is 1)this one will spiral in the color sequence set and the next one will have the "citrus" tones on one diagonal side and the "ocean" tones on the other.
The colors aren't showing 100% true on my monitor, the green onthe left is totally lime, not sage and the color on the far right is mango, not really orange. I should have included something for scale, but the whole piece is 11 inches wide and 8-1/2 tall. There are two not really glaring mistakes.....can you find them?
