I don't believe this is going well. Many of the shops and homes are being looted and burned by various demon gangs, we few that are left are being confined to a smaller and smaller area. I believe that soon we shall need to gang together even more for safety but I have been reluctant to bring up the fact that we are not doing very well at holding

*locks himself in his office, ignoring Rhia's taunts that she can still hear his bad plan thoughts*

*dials Giles's cell number*

Mr. Giles? Hey it's Dylan.

Ah Dylan. Good to hear from you, is everyone all right?

Not really. Rhia is still healing from her gun shot. Oz was stabbed by a silver sword a couple nights ago. Everyone is battered and bruised and Winifred has been kidnapped.

How about on your end?

Oh dear, silver you say? That must have been agonizing to him.

Well Eva was in the hospital briefly and we seem to be losing ground but for the most part in one piece.

Rhia and I are pulling fulltime research duties. Connor wants answers. We all want answers.

*lowers his voice, trying to shield his thoughts from Rhia*

I was reading in one of the books about a couple of demons who could be summoned and if you followed the correct proceedure, they would have to answer questions truthfully...

First off assuming the spell is correct, which how do you know someone didn't leave out some tidbit that keeps you from being consumed, just because something has to tell the truth doesn't mean it will answer your questions!

Those sort of things are never to be trusted, honestly Dylan I thought you would know better by now.

*looks sheepish as Rhia calls out "Hah, told you so."*

Grasping at straws and for what it's worth, I didn't paint any symbols or start a summoning fire.

We've got demons fighting each other, and anyone who is in their way, for some throne. I've seen the throne referred to in the texts, but I don't see anything about how to stop the ascension.

*hears Rhia in the background and smiles a bit*

I'm sure that's because others were against the idea.

Perhaps the Liber Logaeth, and the second volume of Outside the Circles of Time.

Please do not get any more ideas like the last from them please.

Any luck on finding Buffy?

I haven't heard from her since she left.

No, none of us have heard from her. Spike has not returned from wherever he went so I assume they are together somewhere.

You will be sure and call us if you do see her will you not? I am worried about her in her current state.

Um, yeah, her current state.

*chooses his words carefully*

Mr. Giles? Gia is acting weird too. Since she lost her powers she's been really...mean spirited? Very different from her usual behavior. Buffy was...different too.

Has Willow figured out if something else happened with the deactivation? Will we be reactivating the girls again?

oh um Gia. Yes well there was an unfortunate side effect of what happened. Apparently the girls lost their souls when it happened.

They're liable to be a bit, well, mean spirited is a good way of putting it.

The reactivation is unsure at the moment, but Willow is looking into it.
