The idea of that typhone is very scary. The news coverege has been non-stop since it happened. While I feel there is a great loss of life in the countries infected and I feel kinda frightened by the projection of a 100,000 person death toll I'd like to bring up a point:
25 Million people have died from AIDS since 1980. If there were a typhone of this magnitude every month for 20 years it still would not kill as many people as AIDS has. 14,000 people a day are infected with the virus and it is a death sentance for all of them. That to me is scary.
I feel bad for the people who will suffer as a result of the typhone- but why does it take people in the United States 100,000 dead people in one centralized location to pay attention to problems that don't concern a war?
