so north carolina was fucking sick.
A lot of people were impressed with my skating.
It was 2 days, 2 bowls.
First day was at currituck, which is concrete. I bet a bunch of really really awesome Pro/AM girl skaters, an had an awesome time hanging out and skating with them. I re-messed up my knee the day before the comps started, but this pro mandy was cool enough to lend me a most amazing knee brace. So on the first day at currituck i pulled a bunch of stuff that people found impressive, including a f/s 50 over a 10ft tall 10 ft wide (-ish) doorway. I was really happy with my skating then. The other girls were definitley ripping too. Afterwards we went to the house that all the girls were staying at. The organizer of the event Bambam rented a HUGE house on the beach with a skateable backyard pool and many other fun things like a screened porch where I slept. I skated the backyard pool that night and fell on my face and got a really huge fat lip and my face is scratched up but it was pretty funny. Then everyone went to this show, which was alright but I didn't stay long. Around like midnight we rode some bikes to the beach and hung out for awhile, that was really nice. The next day was the Wanchese bowl..that thing is amazing! The shallow end is 9.5 ft and it the deep is 10, wooden..just..amazing. I definitley ate a lot of shit that day though. I only landed a couple of things and the rest of the time I was falling on F/S rocks. A lot of people thought that the fact I was trying F/S rocks was sick though, so thats good. I got so beat up trying them that I couldn't skate anymore.
But basically, the two days were put together and I got 6th out of about 30. I scored another new deck and a bunch of other things. Also, a clothing company called concrete divas is interested in sponsoring me and so was this energy drink called kronik, but I wasn't about to ditch my "support" from redbull.
the outer banks, North carolina has one of the most incredible skate scenes ever.
WHAT A FUCKING KICK-ASS TIME!
