usc, nyc, byu, ben folds and more...

It has been awhile, and there have definitely been thousands of things going on in my life.

Starting with USC, the day before the game was fun. Forties at four were a good time and the pep rally in the stadium was amazing. Seriously, 45,000 people for a pep rally. Wow. That night was fun too. It was the Sorin talent show. I just watched and did not participate, but it was definitely really good. Yay for room nine shotguns and spiced rum with Phil. Then we went up and played flip cup I believe in the quint. I was pretty out of it, but I remember just chillun and having a good time, kinda half passed out watching meagan kick the shit out of Kush. Weird, cause half of that seems like a dream. Anyways, then gameday. Obviously the game was amazing. I don't even bother with trying to replay the stupid plays in my head. It's too frustrating. It's on of those games that twenty years from now when I'm sitting around with friends or relatives, we'll tell our kids how we should have won that game. Green jerseys too, and much better green jerseys than Ty had. Charlie just does everything better. Ok, so that is that.

The next day, we left for NYC! The big city. As Phil would say, just a small town boy getting to see the big city. On the way, we had people not knowing how to say Bob Evans, and people who wondered whether we had gone through Ohio when we were in Pennsylvania, but ya. The narrative of Kim Hammer (and Scott Campbell basically) took up a lot of time. As well as stopping in Grove City, Pennsylvania for a good hour. A nice little town. They have a gazebo. So we get to NYC very late. We have to drop the girls off in Manhattan, which ended up being cool cause we got to see some of the city that night. It is a large place. We went into the city Monday and Tuesday, but I won't bore anyone with details. We hit up so many different places. Scott and I were recruited to work at the fifth avenue Abercrombie. They obviously recognize the amazing good looks. What else, what else. We went to the Broadway show "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels." It was very good and very funny. That was nice. So the next two days, Scott and I hung out on Long Island. Went to the movie Waiting, which was hilarious. Had a good time with his family and whatever. The girls came in Thursday night, but we just chilled and went to bed early cause we had to get up so early. Then we left the next day. There were more good discussions on the way back. Road trips are good. We made it back in much better time without all of the stopping.

Then when we got back, I was happy because my family was here! I went and met them at the pep rally and then we went out to dinner, with Anish as well. My parents had taken Anish out to dinner the night before since they were already here, so they tried to disown me or something. Whatever. That was nice, then we came back. We played a few games of pong with Kristen, her sister, and friend, but that was about it I think. It was pretty chill. We got up and my dad, mom, sis, bro, aunt, uncle, and cousin all came and we played beer pong in the room. That was soo much fun. My brother and I won like 7 games in a row, but my dad and Anish gave us a great game. Triple OT. Well played, very well played. Let's see, Anish and Meagan hung out with me and my family all morning basically, which was fun, we walked over to some other tailgate and whatnot. Then of course we kicked the shit out of the mormons. No surprise there. Not as exciting a game as USC, but a good solid win and very satisfying. My family left after dinner that night because they had to get up very early to catch their flights back so I said goodbye then.

Saturday night was a blast. We didn't really know what to do so we started playing beer pong again. It was mainly guys all night playing. Phil had a friend from home here who was fun. Meg and Meagan were the only girls there for more than a few minutes. There was a lot of italian talking, bittersweet symphony, lose yourself, shirtlessness, and of course pong. A real good time. We went up to the quint but did not stay long.

The rest of the week was sucky basically. A lot of work, a lot of stress...too much contemplating, whatever. Well I lie, the rest of the week wasn't sucky, just up until Wednesday night. Wednesday night was fun. We went to cavanaugh and celebrated people's birthdays with movie night, and some drinking. That was fun for the most part. Thursday night was trick-or-brew which was a good time. I wasn't sure how I feel about tons of guys getting together and drinking, but well it's more fun with girls around, but I definitely enjoyed the time. Some good beers, some not so good, but good times all around. The most exciting thing about the week. Ben Folds at Western Michigan. Scott, Erin, Meagan, and I. Such a good time. Ben Folds is just amazing. Like I knew he was amazing before, but when you see him in concert, it's ridiculous. We went to a little pub afterwards, which was a nice little meal as well. Anyways, a good night, but everyone was tired when we got back, so we just went to sleep basically. Thus, why I am up now, because I did not drink last night and I feel very refreshed today.

There is a lot more work coming up in the next couple of weeks, but also a lot of things to look forward to I hope. As far as other things are concerned, well who knows. This entry was too long, maybe I'll try to update more often. Doubtful, but ya. Peace out.
