Damn. That sucks about your friend. I know things like that can be hard, but you weren't necessarily wrong for wanting her to call first. But someone definitely should have done something before now. Sorry to hear about that.

I hope you get to move home soon. I know how hard it is to be away from your family and the place you really consider home.

Oh there is no reason to feel bad. You have made a lot of big changes in your life, moving to Cali being a huge one. I can understand not being able to keep in contact with every person. I am guilty of the same thing since I moved to Missouri 2 years ago. No worries.
