wow, that is quite a lengthy list of books to read! i should compile my own list...
if you click on my journal, i posted my 04 reads as well, check them out :)

anyway, here are some comments on those books. i don't usually do this, hehe but it's for my own enjoyment as well.

the handmaid' tale- just finished it less than a week ago after hearing so much hype about it. it is such a good read-thought-provoking, suspenseful, and touching. i'm really bad at 'reviewing' books, but i am urging you to read this soon!

running with scissors is really hilarious and crazy but a bit sad when you think about it because it really happened, but i loved every page of it!

i read middlesex over the summer and it blew me away. the beginning seems a bit long to get into but it is worth it. wow.

i've heard good things about you shall know our velocity! but i just couldn't get into it. i put it down halfway through. i wanted to read it, i just got really bored.

white oleander i've read twice and i would read it again if there weren't so many other books out there that i want to get my hands on. it's one of my favorite books. way better than the movie too, if you've seen it.

i read the secret life of bees over the summer and it was okay. i liked it i suppose but i'm actually planning on selling my copy or something b/c i don't feel like it does much for my collection.

on the road is beautifully written! i highlighted so many lines that were just perfect

well, that was rather lengthy.
how did you like prozac nation?

the handmaid' tale - I have heard such great things about this book. You have convinced me to go by it this week even though I have a ton of books to read still. I will have to read it after I finish Wicked.

running with scissors - I love memoirs. I really have to get this one too.

middlesex - I am waiting for my sister to finish up this one. I can't wait to start it.

you shall know our velocity! - You aren't the first person I have heard this from. Maybe instead of buying, I'll get it from the library or borrow it.

the secret life of bees - I bought this last week. The guy at Borders raved about it. I seriously have the longest list of books to start ever.

on the road is beautifully written! I agree. I started reading it in the summer but I misplaced it and just happened to find it last night. I can't wait to finish that up.

I liked Prozac Nation but at the time I read it I had just finished reading the Bell Jar and Lucky. Two incredibly sad and depressing books. Needless to say, I wasn't very cheery. Definitely worth picking up though!

My comment was just as long. I have to add you now. I hope you don't mind.

-Jamie
