YO YO YO WHAT IS UP?
Don't ask bout the title. anyways....... retreat was sweet. i was able to sit and ponder about alot of things and i was able to reflect on them. I was in awe of the beauty of the woods around me. (As I froze my butt off)
LOL. I realized(after like 2 hours) that Thomas and I were not meant to be and that it would never happen anyway. but, I wanted it to happen so much that I wished it anyway and pushed all of those I loved aside. I made the biggest mistake of my life giving my heart away to someone who wouldn't even appreciate who I really was and I almost lost the one guy God had placed in front of me and who was there the entire time. And over a silly crush, I almost lost him. We are now just friends and for that, I am grateful. Well- I'm going to leave you with a poem I wrote on the last day, right before we left when scott gave us reflection time. enjoy.
Have you ever sat and marveled at God's beauty?
The trees as they stand tall, green, and wonderful, no two exactly the same like snowflakes?
The snow as it falls gently unto the Earth, giving it a nice new blanket to cover up the ugliness of that time of year?
The fresh green grass that grows all around you?
The wind as it whistles through the treetops- making pinecones fall?
The everchanging sky that is blue, gray, black- clear or cloudy?
The rocks that are just as common as you and me?
The birds and deer who are just beautiful creatures that God placed here?
The rain that falls from the heavens, making the world greener and fresher?
The sand that covers the beaches, made up of tiny particles?
The mountains that are all over the world?
But, most importantly have you thought of the people around you?
The human beings just like you who fight to survive?
Do they know the love of God just like you?
We need to strive to be another one of God's beautiful creations.
