Does any one else get really f***ing annoyed when a professor writes "Wonderful job! Very complete analysis." on your work and then gives you a 9 out of 10? If its so "wonderful" and "complete" why didnt you give me a 10 out of 10?! If i dont deserve a 10, then please DONT write words like "wonderful" and "complete" because its sending me mixed signals. instread, write things like "good, but go further on..." or "i like this, but i dont like this..."
Is it too difficult to give constructive criticism? Apparently. Im getting tired of this "A for Effort" crap. Im convinced its an American theater thing. I havent traveled that much, but I know that they dont really have that philosophy in the UK. I want to be in a place where someone respects me enough to say "its good, but it needs work here, here and here."
