My mom was reading a magazine this afternoon. I am disturbed greatly by an article that was in it. She showed me it and it made me feel very uncomfortable to be in my own skin. It was about pre-teens, oral sex, and how oral sex is "not" sex. I think it is a damn shame that these little kids do not realize the severity of their actions and the fact that their parents don't do anything about it. Further more I think it's disgraceful how these parents either A.) do not speak to their young teens about sex and that Yes Oral Sex Is Sex. You can still receive STD's, which are worse orally than genitally. (is that a word?) or B.) these parents do not believe that their children are doing anything harmful. I wish I could be like "oh well yuppie parents they dont' know any better" but I can't because it's their fault this is becoming such an epidemic. I want to do something about it. I am appauled that this has become such an out of hand situation. I feel like I the power to protest something like this. I mean when the magazine quote a specialist saying "These 'tweens' view oral sex as the new 'good night kiss'." WHAT?! This is unexceptable. I swear as God as my witness I will do something, big or little, I will do something about this. This honestly scares me.
