HONEY I'M HOMEEEEEEEEEE
This entry may be a little long

Monday - I went to the school to do last minute touches and spent the day with my advisor helping her get things set and ready to go. I ran a bunch of errands for her, went to the drug store to pick up a first aid kit, tylenol, and some other things just incase something was to happen. Everyone finished everything and we were ready to head out. We left school around 3:00-3:30. On the way there a big 18 wheeler tried to switch lanes and didn't see us and almost hit us but then saw us last minute and went back into his own lane. It scared me. (Get hit by a simi huh Sami?), haha. So anyway we arrived around 6, headed to the rooms to put our luggage inside, then went to dinner. The Four Seasons mall is straight across the street so we went there for a quick dinner to have plenty of time to come back and change into "business outfits". We had an opening session meeting until 9:30, then a STAR EVENTS meeting and didn't get out of there until around 10:30 then headed back to the rooms to rest and get ready for tomorrow. My two partners and I practiced our speech a few times and layed down to watch TV and go to bed. Alex fell asleep easily but Britt and I laughed until after 2 am before sleeping.

Tuesday - Woke up at 5:30 am. Headed downstairs around 7:00 am to put our book in the ballroom we were competing in so we didn't have to worry about being late. We went to eat breakfest and came back over to the ballroom to begin getting ready to compete. We found out we had to compete at 8:30 am, and we were first. I hate being first because sometimes it puts you at a disadvantage but we obviously didn't have a choice. We went in, door closed, infront of the three judges and we began. Things went amazingly perfect and they loved us. They said they loved our work, our speech, and our attitude. They asked us about 10-15 questions on our projects to check the knowledge we knew of our chapter of FCCLA. They smiled, thanked us, and told us they would see us at the results meeting. After we competed we went to change and take nap :D then went out for the evening. We came back around 5:00 to pick up our book and look at the others. After looking at two of them we got nervous because they looked good, but the rest weren't well put together. We spent the rest of the day doing whatever we wanted then had a small meeting then back to the rooms.

Today - Got up at 6:00 am, got ready, went to breakfest. Came back for the results ceremony. We got lined up with our competition and headed into the ballroom to be seated. Row by row they annonced the winners and who would be going to represent north carolina at nationals. They came to us and..

We lined up on the stage, the broze winners left the stage, the silver too. We were handed our gold medals as well as two other groups. "And the person to represent north carolina at nationals is... Lincoln County High School" we left the stage. upset. very upset. we sat down in silence we were amazed, their book sucked ass. The ceremony was over and we were upset. All of a sudden, the lights went back off. The big light went onto the state fccla advisor. "There has been a judging error in a category which effected the representation at nationals. In Chapter Showcase Manual Senior Division. We apologize sincerely Lincoln County High School, but you will not be representing north carolina. They called my name, britney, and Alex to the stage. Apologized to us. Then said, the winner of chapter showcase manual senior division is... Ashley, Alex, And britney. We almost died. Everyone screamed for us, standing obation, 500+ people said awwwwww when they saw our sadness turn to happy tears. It was truly amazing. And I, am truly happy.
