Another thing I've learnt here:
A proper way of holding flatware while eating. HOORAY FOR A 26 YEAR OLD FINALLY LEARNING THIS. (How sad).
Not to say I was a cow back home, but I really didn't have etiquette. Luckily at restaurants at home I've been with friends or a bf and we were all pretty much the same with our unclassy style of eating. (Fork in right hand, if a knife is needed it's in the left).
But just watching teachers in the staffroom here kind of solidified it for me, silly as it sounds...since they were the ones I saw most at eating times. And then going to that big meeting last week and having dinner with everyone dining in that lovely way (downturned fork in left hand, knife in the right) made me have to adapt and do it that way.
Yeahyeah go ahead make fun, but at least I know it now.
YAY FOR CLASSY.
