Many of you sent in game /whispers to me last night. I thought I explained things quite well. All that I spoke to welcomed us and we look forward to meeting all of you and raiding ect.The people I see posting here are people I spoke with last night.
Displaced is not here to " dump" gold onto the economy. That is not going to happen. The server has it's own set of gold farmers to do that. We also aren't all "geared up". We have no MC gear and none of us have full sets yet. We see people on the server with better gear than us. We look forward to raiding with all of you and having fun while we are here.
If you have any questions for any Displaced members send us a /tell and we will be more than happy to answer them. Once again we are excited to meet you and play with you all and we will have a ton if fun.
Take care:)
What took place was a result of disciplinary action, and by policy we do not discuss disciplinary actions on the forums, as such information should remain confidential.
Our apologies for the confusion.

Earlier this week, characters belonging to a guild on Uther were moved to Eldre'Thalas to protect them from harassment. Understandably, members of the Eldre’Thalas community were very concerned about this and contacted us through the proper channels, so we investigated the matter internally. After reviewing the steps that were taken, we’ve determined that the appropriate procedure for addressing harassment was not followed.
The person responsible for making this decision saw this case as a good way to test the complex realm-to-realm transfer functionality that we would like to make available to players, while at the same time addressing the harassment concerns in a positive way for everyone involved. Unfortunately, the action caused confusion for both the community and the characters moved to Eldre’Thalas.
We have decided that in order to correct this situation and put the resolution in line with our current policy, all characters transferred to Eldre’Thalas will be moved back to Uther. Furthermore, the appropriate disciplinary action will be taken in regard to the harassment that took place on Uther. In addition to this, we will be reevaluating our communication procedure as it relates to enforcing policy, in order to avoid similar situations in the future.
We apologize for the confusion caused by this matter, and we want to reaffirm that the complex procedure of transferring characters between realms is in no way appropriate for addressing harassment concerns or other policy violations. We also apologize to the players on Eldre’Thalas for having disrupted the current state of their realm with this issue.

I play on uther and have some of the inside scoop info. The guild that was moved form Uther was call Crusaders of Apathy. There GL, Prankster was always bragging about being an ex-blizzard employee, and how he still talks to people at Blizzard all the time.
He and most of his guild were pretty much universally hated. Total asshats. ninja loot, guild member stealing, instant invites for anyone, and instant boots for anyone who didn't suck up to Prankster. It got so bad that they could not group with pretty much anyone on the server anymore, and since they didn't have the manpower to do any significant raids Dave called in a favor and got them all moved.
Most of us are just glad they are gone.

Ill back up what CB said on patch timer (yesterday). Prankster used his 'inside' connections at Blizzard to figure out the identities of several developers who also play on Uther. These devs were ultimately forced to give up their toons on Uther due to harassment and ethical concerns.
Then the poaching from the top end guilds early on. He'd take people from other guilds with him on his little treasure hunts into instances and pile everything that they'd want onto them, trying to get them to guild hop. In some cases it worked, in some not. Also throw in interference with other guilds recruitment processes just for safe measure.
Personally, I don't so much think that Blizzard tried to pull some shady dealings on this. Sure, what occurred could only have happened through Blizzard intervention, but I'm more inclined to believe that Prankster just spoonfed the right people at Blizzard the right lies to get the process rolling. This guy is a master manipulator.
I'd also like to point out that not *everyone* in CoA was an asshat. There were some nice people there. But like always when you have a leader who knows how to blow smoke, in the right amounts and the right direction, can do some serious damage.
During damage control (on the Blizzard forums. -pt), before they posted the explanation, they were apparently throwing around bans to anyone who dared bring up the subject even though we got no warning not to do so. Total abuse of power. I got banned from the forums for a constructive post. I wish I could show the contents of the post, but it was deleted without warning so I never thought to save it to a text file to prove what I was banned for.
I'm so pissed off when I look at the type of utter crap that is posted on those boards every morning that is left untouched, or worst case locked. Then my constructive post got straight up deleted and I got banned. Blizzard is making no attempt to treat their customers with any sort of respect/fairness.
All I did was post asking if these new guild transfers are available to everyone, and listed the reasons why I thought it would be cool to have this option.
I understand that this is a touchy subject right now, but Blizzard is apparently going around banning people without warning even for constructive posts on this subject. At the time of my banning there was no blizzard post saying that we couldn't ask questions about this, nor was there a sticky to consolidate a discussion on it.
They swooped in and banned without reason. Deleted my thread without locking it. Did not send me an email. I can't post about this on the wow forums, so I decided to vent here. The real problem is that there's no possible way to receive any feedback or explanation on why I was banned for a constructive post. All I can do is send Blizzard an email which returns me back a canned response that is in no way helpful.
Anyway, moral of the story: Blizzard is not an upstanding company. They are dirty like so many others, and seemingly just getting worse. As long as they have your money, that's all that matters.
