So school's reopened, but I haven't had a day of relief work yet. This unemployment, all this boredom & brokeness is no fun.
Anyway, Friday's White party @ Rise was pretty ok. Nothing spectacular, & not too packed so there was reasonable space to dance. A few good tunes, handful of eye candy, & alot of dancing... :) After 2 the set was kinda weak, so I went to the Amps & it was well, Amps on a Friday night. After 3ish it got boring, so I went back to the Rise where it had picked up again. Danced some more & went home after Delirium's "Silence".
Saturday went to Janey's bbq which was probably the highlight of the night. Sin was kinda lukewarm, except for when they played Infected Mushroom's "Becoming Insane", & Amps was worse... (On a side note, I don't think I enjoy being stoned stupid as much as I used to anymore... =P)
Sunday's gig was a quiet affair, which was actually quite nice. I had a crowd of my family (mom, pops, bro, sis & the boy), Garth (the sound guy), the bar staff, & a few randoms playing pool at the back (the other muso & his small trio)... There was absolutely no pressure (although apparently it never shows), & I was just mucking around, having fun, going through versions of my songs. =P
