so it's sunday and i'm leaving for las vegas in about five more hours. it'll be fun. i finished working yesterday. my job isn't too bad. you hear all these stories of how people quit these kinds of jobs all the time and that the lottery ticket and tobacco products are hard to sell but my goodness. this isn't hard at all. i've gotten use to the lottery machine that spits out random tickets when nobody is around and i know most of the brands of smokes now and where they are. i know how to put on that fake smile at the end of the shift and still be cheerful for the funny seniors that come by. seniors are extremely funny. extremely. they come in every five minutes and forget what they came for and come back ten minutes later exclaiming to me, "TOOTHPASTE! i wanted TOOTHPASSSTTEE!" it's a very victorious cheer. so all in all this week i made $225. not too shabby. AND i'm not main cashier anymore. they always put the new people on the main till just to get them use to it. yesterday i got "promoted" to second till. that way i just come whenever we're busy and when we're not, i stock the shelves. how easy is that...pft. whoever said it was hard was a wussy. i'm quite happy.
