(no subject)

for the science ib program we're required to do at least 10 hours per subject on a project. how do you do 10 hours when you're in groups of 6-10?

YOU HAVE A SLEEPOVER AT YOUR SCHOOL.

it was actually kind of fun. it wasn't as boring as i thought and i got the best group of all time. there were only five of us for some reason though but we were considered the STACKED group and the best. i love our poster. it was my idea to make it like a newspaper thing and it was so original. everybody else just used the neon posters that were supplied to us.

the project was to do labs to investigate a crime scene. the crime was one of the four female teachers kidnapped our mascot, the earl bird, and was asking for a ransom. we had to do fingerprinting, hair analysis, blood typing and slides, dna testing, personal evidence investigations, everything. it was insane. we did 8 labs in total and each one needed a one hour lab write-up. fun stuff.

they eventually locked us up at 10pm in the gym but nobody slept until at least 3am even though lights were out at 12. it was unreal. ringtones going off nearly every five minutes and people snoring. what was even creepier was waking up IN the school on a saturday morning. it felt so weird. my group even locked ourselves out a couple times because we forgot that the some doors were locked. sigh. in the end, we didn't win the competition and we were totally off on guessing the right teacher...but they loved our evidence and our analysis and our story of how the kidnapping took place. we didn't lose any marks plus every group is guaranteed an 85% for just doing it. awesome.
