Wow. I just barely escaped from a head on collision just about 30 minutes ago.
This red truck was going way under the speed limit and I missed my first chance to pass him, so when the second time was coming up, I was getting ready for it. The car in the other lane, preventing me from going a bit earlier, finally passed and I went into the lane to make the pass. Up ahead I see a black truck coming towards me and I try speeding up, but I don't know. It's gets all meshed together right here. The truck I was trying to pass seemed to almost speed up as I was doing it and there was another white truck behind me previously and he was going to pass the two of us. I saw him pull back as I just began, but the black truck coming at me pulled over into the his turning lane at the same time, not far at all in front of me, as I finally pulled back into my correct lane. I was going about 90 then. And it got tricky when I did then see black truck ahead, because I didn't know if I had the time to slam on the breaks to pull back into my lane or just to keep going. So of course, I chose the stupid decision to keep going.
Thank God I made it. I don't even want to imagine. All this trying to buy two pre fucking screening tickets of Glory Road tonight.
So as I continue to drive, just seconds after the incident, I get soo shook up on what almost happened that each time I tried to apply the break, and when I was, my leg was shaking soo badly. It would not stop.
And I had a fucking flat tire yesterday and got the spare put on during school. Took the car in today to get new tires and then this! Wow. I might not have made it if I didn't know of the flat, let alone having the spare.
Scary. Don't be stupid, and learn from my mistakes. If you're passing, be fucking sure you can make it.
