Where the hell's the Friday Five when I need it? Huh? What do you mean, there is no Friday Five today? I've got a half hour to kill before I go to this talk and I'm desperate for diversion.

If somebody doesn't give me a fun meme or something, stat, I may start talking about the 10K I'm going to run tomorrow. And I know you don't want to hear that ( Read more... )

Name five dogs you've known and not necessarily loved ;)

Oooh, good one!

My first dog, Mocadocdoc. I named him. I was five. I still have no idea where the hell I got the name from. Anyway, he was bitey. Bye bye, Mocadocdoc!

My brother's dog, Daisy. She's built like a keg of beer and is about as smart.

My in-laws' dog, Ivy, who is an adorable mutt but neurotic and licky. Ew.

I can't think of any more dogs! That's crazy. Will you take cats? (If so, I've got two you can have. Ba-dum-bah!)

So, cats.

The Little Man, who is not.

Spike, who is a serial inappropriate urinator. Signing his death warrant in pee-pee, someone once said. Heh.

Hey, this was fun!

Oh, these are terrific! I especially love the starcrossed tale of Bosun. Hee!

Thanks for the entertainment, chica. :)

Oooh!! I want to play! I want to play!!

I have vague memories of my uncle's dog, Sabre, who had had an eye shot out by a nasty neighbour and was a big german shepherd type. I remember lying against him when he was lying on the ground. He was a sweet dog.

Then there would be Misty, my best friend's dog from when we were growing up. Misty was one of the best dogs ever. She was small and white-ish coloured and was just smart smart smart.

Skipping ahead to only a few years ago, my roommate's dog, Marley, a fabulous black lab. One of the fetchy-est dogs I've ever known.

My brother's dog, Tena, who he adopted as a puppy from the Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF) here in Calgary. They stayed with me until he went back to B.C. and she was so gorgeous. And she still is.

But of course, my own dog, my first dog, Monet. She's my baby and the most wonderful, aggravating, sweet thing in the world.

That was fun! Only three more hours to waste.

Awww! Poor Sabre!

Your dogs sound lovely. :)

How was the rest of your afternoon? (I finally gave up and cut out early!)

I had to stay until the bitter, bitter end. I played a lot of Collapse. And then, naturally, at 4:45 every came back from their all day meetings and suddenly I had stupid work to do. I left at 5:15 telling them I'd finish on Monday.

Yes, I was irritated!!
