'tear the roof off your day'
So today I'm 24. I spent much of it in prison- lol - but that's okay. We actually had no asessments today - they wouldn't let anyone out of their cells. Wierd. So it was lazy - a lot of caseworking and drafting and coffee drinking.
Prison officers are hilarious - they were sat round talking about the best places in the prison to spot ghosts!! But I suppose the place is creepy, having been built in 1847 and having seen more than a few executions and other recent, gruesome deaths...
But on a more cheerfult note - they GAVE ME MY OWN KEYS. I can't belive it - you need to understand the prison service to really get a grip on how drop-dead unbelievable that is but there you go. For those not in the know - I do not have a copy of the keys to armley jail in my room - you get a brass tally with a code on it which you exchange for keys at the gate each time you enter the prison. So there you go. - We cannot go on night-time outings to HMP Leeds.
Well, I'm being boring tonight - I really don't want to do anything I'm totally knackered. And this weekend should be busy. Also I start my new job on Monday . Boring. But pays reasonably well I suppose.
Oh man - I just my copy of 'bivouac' into the CD deck upside down. I haven't had that much wine...
