All you people, can't you see, can't you see?

Oh man, you guys are going to be so completely jealous of me when I tell you what I did last night...

I saw the Backstreet Boys in concert.
And it was AMAZING. My friend Alissar calls me up not too long ago and informs me that we are going to see the Backstreet Boys at PNC on Sunday and that's that. Before I can argue, I am in a carpool with Alissar, my sister Katie and another friend Katherine going up to PNC. And let me tell you, no matter how many concerts you guys may see over the summer, they will all pale in comparison to the experience of seeing the Backstreet Boys. It's amazing how we were all on the lawn going, "Oh, it's just the Backstreet boys, I don't even want to stand up" but as soon as the stage dimmed and they burst out singing "The Call" we were all jumping up and screaming bloody murder. We all honestly forgot how much we loved them and how happy their music makes us feel. And for men in their 30s, they still danced and sounded awesome. I saw them twice before years ago and I have to say, this was their best concert. They sang a number of new songs but they obviously know that most of the fans relate to the older songs (which are 7 years old now! I can't believe I was only 10 when "As Long as You Love Me" came out... oh man, good times) so they sang a lot of older stuff.

And they didn't wear the silly, matching outfits but just wore regular clothes. And Brian is still adorable but they all looked really good. I mean, when I saw them last time, they were like worn and almost bored with the whole thing but they were definitely having fun with it last night. And there is something magical about an entire arena singing "I Want it That Way" all together perfectly. Oh, it was awesome and the best night of summer thus far. They even did two encores for us after much screaming and cheering. I'd love to go see them again.

O Backstreet Boys... they make me smile.
