UPDATE
So I don't have much time to write cause I gotta get showered and stuffs for work.. BUT yesterday was my first day and it went really well. It was just orientation which basically consisted of sitting in big room watching power point presentations, filling out paperwork, getting a badge made, getting a locker and parking pass, and going on a tour. It was from 5:30pm to 10:15pm. My badge has a line down the middle lol.
Um. I think I'll like it there. The people are really nice and I feel cool cause I get my own little scany badge to open doors and have to wear a lab coat, lmao. I'm in a group called "Polar" which is apparently named after the certain computer program we'll be using. I made a friend in my group named Danyelle. She's really nice and her locker is by mine so I don't feel so O_O about how large the place is.
By business casual they meant not skanky lmao. Like.. people were jeans, t-shirts, hoodies, clogs, anything really execpt any type of shirt you can see your shoulders (ie: tank top, spaghetti strap, halter top, and tube top) and no shorts of any kinds (not even the ones that come down to your knees) and no comfort pants (like track pants, sweat pants, yoga pants, pj pants). I can wear my clogs to work XD.
AND I get to decorate my half of the desk (cause I have to share with someone else). They were all "you can bring in a few pictures to make your space more cozy" and like on the tour peoples desks were like piled with all kinds of home stuff, lmao.
The security guys are really nice, especially Larry who watches us walk to our cars at night to make sure everything is okay. They have cameras EVERY WHERE so like.. I feel safe there.
Tim from Michaels was there, so that was nice to see a familiar face. He'll be in "Customer Service" so I won't ever see him.
I got 2 cups lol. A Medco tumbler (which is the only cup we're allowed to use in the "pharmacy") and a 25 year anniversary Medco cup with a lid for home, lol.
My job is pretty good so far. Tonight I'll actually lean about what I'll be doing 3:30pm-midnight!! WISH ME LUCK!!
