ladies ...
Find a guy who calls you beautiful instead of hot,
who calls you back when you hang up on him,
who will stay awake just to watch you sleep.
Wait for the boy who kisses your forehead,
who wants to show you off to the world,
even when you are in your sweats,
who holds your hand in front of his friends,
who thinks you're just as pretty without makeup on.
Wait for the one who is constantly reminding you
of how much he cares about you,
and how lucky he is to have you.
Wait for the one who turns to his friends and says, "... that's her."
gents ...
Find a girl who can't stand it when you hang up on her,
who would sit there for hours looking into your eyes,
who doesn't care what you look like,
but what's inside counts the most,
Who looks at you with the twinkle in her eyes,
and kisses you on the cheek instead of the lips,
and wants to be with you in public.
Wait for the girl who is a constant reminder of your happiness and joy,
who makes you smile just by knowing she loves you back.
Wait for the girl who you give piggy back rides to in public
and she still is in view of her friends, when she gets off and you hear her go,
"you're the one for me, for always."
Tell her you think she's cool. Tell her why you think she is so cool. Smell her hair & play with her hair. Talk to her every chance you get. Pick her up and pretend you are going to throw her into the river; she'll scream and fight you but secretly she'll love it. Just hold her hand. Tell her she looks pretty. Introduce her to your friends as "the coolest girl I know". Sit in the park and talk to her. Exchange dirty jokes. Exchange stupid jokes. Write her a note. Just walk around with her. Throw pebbles at her window at night. When she starts swearing at you, tell her you love her. Let her fall asleep in your arms. Call her. Call her back if she calls you. Sing to her, no matter how bad you are. Carve your names into a tree. Get her mad, then kiss her. Give her piggy back rides. Give her space if she needs it. Push her on swings. Take her shopping (and don't whine about it!). Stay up with her all night when she is sick. Make up pet names for her, but cool ones not sappy ones. Teach her something. When she's sad, hang out with her or stay on the phone with her even if she's not saying anything. Buy her ice cream. Let her take all the photos of you she wants. Look into her eyes. Slow dance with her, even if the music is fast. Kiss her in the rain. And when you fall in love with her, tell her.
When I read that I realized I have everything I've ever wanted. I love this boy more than anything in the world. I love to sit there for hours and just look into his eyes. I love to kiss him on the cheek and be with him in public. I love to give him piggy back rides, and buy him ice cream, and make him dinner when he gets home from work. And to make him hot chocolate when it's cold outside. I love to tickle him to sleep. I love to draw him stupid pictures in art class and no matter how stupid they are, he still loves them. I love to slow dance with him when the music isn't even playing. And I love to take photos of him whenever I want. I love to stay on the phone with him for hours even if neither of us is talking. I love spending time in europe with him. I love it when he tells me that I'm beautiful. And when he buys me my favorite food for lunch. And when he draws me pictures to show me how much he is sorry, when he didn't even do anything wrong to begin with. I love everything about him. I love everything about us. He is the most amazing person in the world and I wish I could show him off to everyone. Some people might find this stupid and mushy but I don't care. If you knew how I felt, you would do the same thing. When you love someone nothing else matters. What people think about you, your relationship, your friends, all of that is insignificant because you finally realize all the beauty that you have in your life that the rest of that stuff just doesn't matter. It not only makes you realize how amazing that person is, but how amazing your life has been since you met. I don't know how long it's going to last and quite frankly I don't care because I know that we'll have all the memories that we spent together. Some good and bad. But no matter what they will always be there reminding me of how it felt to be in love with someone as amazing as him.
