There is going to be a severe lack of updating (not that there already hasnt been) becuase of a recent defficult move. I have finally moved out and away from the madness that was once known as my home. I live now is what is considered one of the worse areas of Santa Maria but I enjoy it very much. I am a big fan of culture and where I now live has that in abundance. Every morning there is usually Mariachi (sp?) music playing quite loudly and little children running around everywhere. It has finally gotten to the point where people have stopped comming to the door for Billy (someone who wasnt living there for a while) looking for drugs. At one point the entire house was surrounded by people pounding on the front and back doors of the little 1 bedroom appartment at 5:00 AM. That particular incident happened when all of my roomates werent home, they had just left about 10 mins before people started pounding on the doors for Disneyland in LA. When I realized that I was home completly alone and with no phone to call over a friend or even the police if it came to that. So, I went upstairs to where my roomate keeps the rifles and grabbed the one with the bayonette attachment and sat there and waited for someone to try and get inside. Needless to say that they didnt succeed in gaining entrance to the house, if they had I wouldnt be telling you about this via livejournal, you would be hearing about a massive shooting in downtown Santa Maria that left only one female alive amongst the ruble of 10 human bodies all with some drug in thier system. Yup, nothing ended up happening but my friend stayed the night the rest of the nights that my roomies were out of town. The entire time we cleaned the house, in case I havent already mentioned, all of my 3 roomies are male and not too clean at that. Damned bachelors. Lol. Other than that whole experience I really love this place, people are too judgemental about that area. Almost everyone that lives there works very hard to support thier fammily with back breaking labor jobs. I respect them a lot more than people with, say, desk jobs. They truly understand what it is to earn thier money. I just wish that I had taken Spanish instead of French in high school, I dont know what half the people are saying most of the time.
Oh yeah, the Tamale Lady rocks my socks!!!!!
