"liberals spend a lot of their time arguing that the conservatives are wrong for certain reasons while conservatives are more focused on 'this is what the party is and this is how it's done'"

Part of that is true...Democrats could not do what the Republicans did: Force an easy to understand message down people's throats over and over and over again. The sad fact is that messaging works. It is just the way it goes, and it sucks if there are actually complex things that need to be addressed.

"if i were to go to another country, i know that i would be safe"

I guess it all depends on which country you go to, but you're living in a fairy tale land if you think thats true of all countries. I'm not sure you understand how much so many nations HATE america/americans. It is said that 92% of people outside of America would have voted for someone other than Bush. 92%. People hate Bush. He does what he wants with blatant disregard for anyone and everything he does not agree with. You really want a president who tosses the UN aside when he wants to do something? That's really sad to me.

"i know a lot of military are there because they signed up for it. signed up, meaning they said that if there was a war, they would go"

This is true, they have not reinstated a draft, there has not yet been the need to, but you have to know the numbers of innocent civilians...men women and children that have been killed because of Bush going in there and attacking. Because we've felt A FRACTION of the loss that countries like the ones we're currently bombing have for *centuries*, everyone's become a flag-waving, card-carrying patriot. Fuck that. Soccer mom bullshit. WE ARE FUCKING LUCKY THAT'S *ALL* THAT HAS HAPPENED TO US! Get a fucking clue! We slaughter people en masse at the drop of a fucking hat, yet when a relatively small number of people die in the first real attack on home ground we've experienced in a long ass time, suddenly we're "GOOD" and they're "EVIL"!

And honestly, is there even anything left that Bush can campaign on? He certainly can't crow about what he's done for the economy.. or job creation.. or health care.. or education... or the environment. Can he even continue talking about what a great job he's doing making the world a safer place after THIS? (http://www.cnn.com/2004/WORLD/meast/10/25/iraq.explosives/index.html)
It strikes me as strange that his main platform (the so-called "war on terror") must be a fallacy, even to him. I mean, how can he consider himself effective in a war on terror if he does not protect vital weapons sites in a country that he has opened up to terrorists?

its late, and i'm tired. most of this post was probably incoherent. i'll probly post more tomorrow when i'm actually awake
