I hope you passed with out pain.
I hope you're in a better place, wherever that may be.

My Auntie Sheila just passed away. 5 o'clock this morning.
We think it's from diabetic complications.
She passed away in her home, with out warning.
We haven't been very close, or talked much since I moved away from Georgia, but she will still remain a big part of my life.
She was my godmother, her husband was my dad's best friend and my godfather, and oddly enough her son Adam, was/is my mom's boyfriend. The McWhorter family, although not by blood, has always been family.
I really regret not keeping in touch.
The thing is, I was supposed to go up there and stay with her sometime before the new year.
She was going to help me with some personal issues, she was good at that.
Now that's not going to happen. It will never happen.

This was completely unexpected.
This is only the 2nd death I've experienced.
The first one was when Carl died when I was in 6th grade.
I handle these things with a lot more ease than most.
I'm just at a loss for words.
