Bad Em! Bad, bad, bad Em!
I am feeling like a terrible mother.
Sophie has to go in for surgery tomorrow morning. She started limping off and on a while ago, but never anything severe. Anyway, yesterday she was having a hard time walking and getting around. She was visibly in pain. So I decided to take her to the vet today to see what the problem was.
I expected that she stepped on something, or jumped wrong or something. The vet looked at her foot and said “Oh!” Turns out that after her declaw in October, she broke open the stitches and her bone is coming out of her toe.
She will be having surgery tomorrow to fix it, but I feel like I should have caught it sooner. Fortunately the vet said there was really no way for me to know, but none the less, my poor kitty!
