Another late night thought.......

Alright, so I've been reading alot lately about the idea of Intelligent Design. Its a fascinating concept to me, the idea that humans are so well built that we might have actually been created. Its funny to me that humans think they are at the top of the food chain. We are at the top of the food chain to the world in which we can see and understand. It makes me kinda think of the concept of the ant and the ant eater. The ants live in a tiny little world were they live and die, they do only what they need to do to survive. An ant eater can come along at any time and just start eating away, taking the lives of the ants from the world they live in. The ants have no concept, idea or clue what is going on or what an ant eater even is. Its a being that lives so far above their plane of awarness they dont even realize they exist. They are incapable of realizing that they are a threat thus they cannot take innitiative to build a defense against it.

Humans on the other hand can do this, but only to the threats they can see and understand. Just because we cannot see x-rays with our eyes doesnt mean they dont exist. I know it sounds like a bunch of religious mumbo jumbo but I'm talking about a being living within the 4th dimension. We live in the 3rd dimension, whos to say that there isnt something that transcends us? Why do humans have to be at the very top and king of it all? Is it because of our gigantic egos? I think thats how the american male was born. We are an uncivilized race that ebraces its barbarace ways more than it takes the time to actually think about what we're doing and the effect it can have on ourselves. Indulge in the now! The way this country was founded was a joke. Hey, lets steal a bunch of land from people we dont understand and just kill them all off.. yeay! What a great way to start off a new nation under God.

So my real peve of the night would be the idea that humans are completly different than animals based on the idea that we are self aware and we choose our own destiny's. The problem I see with this ability is that sometimes we take it too far. Sometimes we become so self aware all we are is self obsessed. Our entire lives become a treck to fullfill all our selfish desires and wants. We worry and concentrate on our own wants that we dont take the time to say..... smell the roses. I've found by observing individuals who concentrate alot of their time and effort on the things that interest only them, they end up leading a very boring life. A very individual life. Ourselves become the most important person to us and nothing else matters. No one elses opinion, no one elses ideas, no one elses desires are even a thought. We make all our choices about life in a way that we think.... " how will this benefit me today. " To me, thats a sad way of thinking.

I'm realizing that the most joy you can get outa life is just having an open mind and listening to others. The best and most intimate way of growing as a person is sharing your life with someone else. In order for something like that to work, two people must be open to each other. They must trust each other and believe that each other deeply does care about the others well being. Once unconditional love is established the real growing can begin because that is where the challenge lies. In a relationship you must comprimise. Most relationships you witness are TV and these arent always a good example but alot of the times they are. Their taken from real life situations on purpose so the viewer is able to relate to the show and feel some sort of connection. When most couples seem to comprimise its because they feel as though they have to just to make the other one stop nagging. They get tired of hearing about something so they finally give in to their partners wishes. Instead why dont they try to find what their partner likes so much about their issue. What makes them think that way. Do you resepct your partner? If so then why woudlnt you take the time out to find out what exactly is their way of thinking and why.

Sometimes people disagree because neither person is listening. They both try to get their opinions across but if no one is listening then nothing can happen. I personally like to comprimise, yes sometimes at the moment it is against my will. Its not how I would handle the situation or its not what I would have done but MY way isnt always the best way. Who better to learn something from than my companion in life, the person whom I'm supposed to love and care about. If theres anyone I should listen to it should be her. Dont get me wrong, it can be a hard road... comprimise but no one said anything worth doing is easy. I try to look at the possible outcome of my actions before I take them. If the outcome looks on the bright side then thats how I base my desicions. Even it seems difficult I know I'll be happy when I get to the end. I've lived my life that way for a while now and I've seen the benefits of this concept.

I've learned so many things by keeping an open mind. By knowing that I dont know it all and to keep learning because theres always more to learn. Einstein once said, "Some live as though nothing is a miracle and some live and though everything is a miracle."

Which one are you?
