"And how would we find a way? I mean, aside from locking them all up and starving the truth out of them... I don't think there's a way to ever completely know." I glanced at Wesley, then glanced up as my door opened, and a young intern peeked in. "Yeah?"
"Um, there's a package for you..." she said, looking shy and intimidated.
"I'll get it later," I said, and she vanished. I glanced back at Wesley, and sighed. "Never a moment of peace around here, huh?"

"As for the truth, perhaps a spell? A truth spell?" I offered, "Though that seems like it might backfire somehow." My forehead crinkled in discontent.

"I don't know. We can't trust anyone around here," I said bluntly. "Tell 'em what they need to know, nothing more, and... hopefully that will be enough," I said softly. We could hope... and deal with whatever came as is it did.

"I truly think it is needed." I sighed. It was practically impossible, what I was asking. How could we trust people around here?

"We're never gonna know who we can trust or not, English." Because in our world, something always came up, and always went wrong; it was just the way things were. No amount of spells or paranoia was gonna change that, as far as I could tell. We could try but... I didn't see much good coming of it, especially knowing our luck with spells.
Something caught at my mind, and I wondered what spell I was thinking about in particular that had given us so much trouble, but... I couldn't remember off hand, and let it go for now. Didn't seem important, even if things were a little fuzzy about it. Probably just all the paperwork from lately...

We could at least trust one another and that was important. I knew exactly what he was thinking. All the things we've done spell wise that might have caused great trouble. I knew there must have been something big, but I was forgetting. Perhaps this place was truly getting to us.
