Catch-22
so, i turn 18. b-day gifts from those i care about were: comfy amazing slippers, gloves to keep my hands warm, H.P; goblet of fire, and a picture of me and matt's future child. All from the husband, a surprise b-day party from my sister, husband, and 3 closest friends, along with that present which is meant to do nothing but add a little spice to the entire gumbo...my parents "separation" i guess i've calmed down a lot since last night, i've tried to make the best out of this situation. Parents can be very closed minded, hard headed, immature, and not to mention violent. My Dad is so full of arrogance and pride. My mom is full of resentment against my dad and therefore can't help but bring up his faulty past and bad qualities. My dad goes along with it, and back and forth they go throwing what poison they have to throw at each-other until they explode. It's a vicious cycle. They are both selfish, or well..at least my mom was. My dad remains one. He said he's not willing to change, where my mom has recognized that she has a lot to work on and realizes that when arguing trying to hurt the significant other by using insults or trying to humiliate him isn't exactly a peace stimulant. who knows whats gonna happen to my family my dad's sleeping in the living room. dad says that either she goes or he goes...mom says she should go because it would be the best for nancy and me. i suppose this decision is due to the fact that my mother doesn't have a job...and therefore couldn't exactly financially assist, be it what it be it's all completely unnecessary. Truth be told, we have all been selfish to a certain extent. and of course we all know a family can not and will not EVER be fully functional if the effort put into the family isn't mutual. and if my father isn't willing to cooperate...he's a nice man, a nice dad but it definitely won't work out..i always thought my family was amazing because my parents looked like they were deeply in love, it's surprising how things can change from literally one minute to the next...and all over complete plain and nothing more than simple HUGE BULL SHIT!!!
