Busy, Busy, Busy

First things first...

Went to work early on monday and nearly died but recovered on the way to the Bright Eyes/Faint show in Atlanta.  Stopped at a gas station and ate Arby's for the first time.  And i'm askin' myself why I haven't till now...hells if I know...everyone I talk to is shocked that I haven't eaten at Arby's till now.  it's like someone never eating at McDonalds...I guess.

Never been to Earthlink before and I loved it the second I stepped in...kickass venue for some kickass music. Danielle and I were a couple (more like a dozen)  butt hairs away from the stage.  I rarely dance in public unless I
  1. Wearing Danielle's sparkly red hat...Frosty the snowman anyone?
  2. OR
  3. Listening to some righteous music...

I've only heard a few tracks by the Faint and by the time they left the stage I was already a fan.

And people were freakin' out for both the Faint and Bright Eyes but to me Conor's music is more of something you sit back and admire and absorb but not so much dance to...i'm not saying you can't, i'm just saying I didn't.

But i'm probably talking out of my ass.

Left Earthlink still buzzin' and hit a 24 hr dinner and had this Texan burger that contained a fried egg?  I've seen it but never consumed one before...quite scrumbtious.

Damn I need a spell checker on this stupid client.

Tuesday I worked a bit on my show, saw Star Wars Episode 3 with my bro, Samantha and her bro.  I thought it was way better than the first and a nad hair better than the second but the classics are still the best.

Dropped the kids off, picked up Toni, and hit downtown to go see Actress at Fathom.  It was my first (and probably last) time at Fathom.  It seemed like a pretty rundown building, well at least downstairs.  Upstairs is great.  Lots of room, plenty of places to sit, pool tables, foos ball tables, and a pretty good stage and sound system.  Now if they had a bar i'd be set.  But unfortunately it is a christian teen club (?).

Cody Blaine went on first and I felt bad for him.  There was hardly anyone there (maybe 25 people) and it was just him and a guitar.  But what a voice he had on his scrawny body.  Damn I was impressed.

And then Actress hit the stage.  I talked to Aaron before the show and he didn't think it was gonna turn out too well.  It was alright but not great.  No I thought the show was fantastic but I don't think they thought it went well.

Wednesday I did something....hmm...went on the air, Danielle and I worked on the show, and I did laundry.  had to cancel plans with Cheryl and I felt really bad about it.  Told her the four of us [her and her man with Sam and I (or is it Sam and me)] should go bowling and I got the impression that that might be an awkward idea...which I don't think so but Evan might.

And don't even say this might develop into drama for me...hell I hardly ever have drama.

Going to see Actress again tomorrow at Midtown.  I think it's a new club opening up downtown and Actress is gonna be the first band to grace the walls.

Can't wait!!!

But....i do wish someone could go with me.  No one else is willing or able to go...maybe Toni?
