first + introduce yourself. how am i suppose to friend you if i don't know who you are?
second + tell me your interests. yes it's overdone but it's important that i know what you like/dislike.
third + establish one thing we have in common. if there's nothing then don't bother friending me; we'd have nothing to talk about.
fourth + if you don't comment on any of my entries for a month or so I'll be defriending you. I'm so sick of always friending losers who reply when I comment to their posts but can never seem to be bothered being interested in my life as well. this is a big one - people who never comment really get on my nerves. it's also more likely i'll friend you if i've seen you around lj, for instance at one of my communities.
fifth + don't friend this journal for my icons. go to my icon journal instead, hourglass_icons.
sixth + if i like you, i'll consider letting you in.
