right up there in the list of things that piss me off
so there's this health care bill, I'm sure you've heard of it by now. and it's stuck in Congress because evidently people aren't too keen on the whole abortion aspect of it, among other things. first we were told that it didn't even mention abortion, which was a heinous lie. then we were told that it didn't use tax dollars to fund abortion, which was another lie.
well you know what. it makes me think of that idiotic line "don't like abortion? don't have one!"
apart from being incredibly moronic logically, now it's virtually impossible to "obey" even if it did make a shred of actual sense.
I don't like abortion. you're right, I'll never have one. but dammit, with this health care bill my part of that equation doesn't matter, because I'll still have to pay for other people to get abortions. and guess what? when it comes to abortion, I don't just balk at paying for my own. I balk at paying for anyone else's.
I'm not going to hire a hit man to kill someone who's inconveniencing my life. and I sure as hell am not going to be copacetic about the government picking my pocket so that someone else can hire their own hit man.
