I know I promised a picture post. but. there's this wedding thing going to happen in a little over a year. you just might have heard about it. here's some other stuffs related to it:
November 21st, 2009 is the date. November 21st, 2008 is a Friday denoting our -1 wedding anniversary. I TOTALLY WANT TO HAVE A PARTY. that would be super cool. want to be in on it? throw me some ideas.
that's also the day I'm going to be mailing out announcements to everybody in our families. *takes deep breath, tries not to faint, or cry or barf, or anything else embarrassing and messy*
if you could provide moral support, that would be fantastic.
I finally go the mirror tiles from Teresa, yay! seeing as floating water lily candles look pretty darn expensive, and the partylite ones seem to be nonexistent, I'm thinking of definitely scrapping them and just going with wax paper origami water lilies.
I need to get that dress cleaned. it's got heavy duty foundation all on the inside of the bust area due to its former owner covering up a tattoo, as well as a very dirty train and sweat stains. eh, I got it for 75 bucks, I know it'll probably never look perfect again, but I'd like it to go out with a fight. you know, like the non-destroying equivalent of soaking the thing in straight bleach for three days. I don't recall how long she said she had it in her closet before putting it up on craigslist, but as I recall, it's already lived a good deal with this goop on it. I can't help feeling antsy, though, with all this stuff aging and possibly growing things. I'm also thinking of removing all the sparkly things on it, but worried that it would leave a lot of weird-looking needle holes all over the fabric. my jewelry is going to be all pearls, and I don't want it to clash. plus, some of the beading is damaged or missing, and I'm not sure if it's worth trying to repair. also thinking of converting it from zipper back to buttons. worried about the cost...
in better news, deven and I are going in for the preliminary marriage prep talk thingy at St. Thomas on October 18th!! dang it, I still need to get those donation envelopes from my mom, so I can put something in them on Sundays so they know we go to Mass. (they only let active parishioners get married there, and since I'm not involved in anything else there, tracking envelopes is the only way they know if I actually go there or not.) that'll definitely get the ball rolling in the right direction. (wow, what a mixed metaphor.)
need to work out the reply card and finish the cake mockup pics.
