blah
we're stuck out at the MIL....after another torturous four hour drive ( which included begging to use the bathroom in a furniture store at one point, but who can say no to a pregnant lady with a 3.5 yr old in tow....it was actually for her too, surprisingly, i had already peed 17 times in 3 hours, and ryan *loves* when i make him stop that many times on a long car ride ).........and she is on old fashioned dial up, and i miss iam
i clearly favour it, i don't know why, i'm used to it i guess, and i find the interaction better/more personal.....and i miss it, but i am certainly glad to have lj to keep up with some of you guys :)
we are at least planning to get out of the house today, ryan's mom lives in the "country" ( she actually lives just 7 min from a small town in both directions, and has lots of close neighbors, but out in the country all the same ) so most times when we come we just hang around the house and let her visit with the kids ( since we only make the previously mentioned torturous drive a couple times a year )
but today we're making the trek into ottawa ( about 40 min ) and taking the kids to the children's museum there, and possibly a little petting zoo as well, depending on time
which will make for a more interesting day i hope then our usual visits here
my final thought is this, ryan's mom runs a bed and breakfast out of this house, we drive a total of 8 hours across the province to get here, not once can i recall her actually making us breakfast while were here!! come on....it says so right on the sign....bed and BREAKFAST.......( but she did get up with our little sidney alarm clock at 6:30 and we got to sleep until 8:00 !! so i can't complain too much i guess )
