Myron's How I Heart You!
Well what a weekend.... that's the best way to start this post. Saturday would have to be the highlight of my summer so far! It was full of so many suprises and well it ended at 6:30 Sunday morning.
Where It All Starts:
Saturday morning I woke up fairly early because Ashley and I had been planned to be tourists for the day. So I go out to the kitchen and my Mom is reading the paper and she tells me that Myron's will be open that night. Well of course I was excited... I love that place!!! So when Ashley gets up I give her the 411 and it's set, we're drinking, but the toursity stuff had to come first.
So stop number 1 is the Kensington Water Gardens. I would advise anyone that hasn't been there before to go! It's not what you think. The first half of it you are walking through the building basically learning the story of someones life, and they have a castle.... with slides!!! Then you go outside and it's just beautiful. I was absolutely amazed by it!
Next stop is Woodleigh Replicas in Burlington. Of course Ashley and I went the wrong way and had to back track lol.... We Heart You PEI map!!! So we find the place and go in. It's another really interesting place that I had never heard of. It's basically recreations of significant buildings, castles, houses etc. from London. Some of them are just really small but some of them are large enough to go into. It's a lot of walking around so Ash and I got a little burnt but that's okay because remember... GO TEAM NICE TAN! So after that we just headed back in town.
We get back to Ashley's and sit around for a bit and decide that we're getting bored so to Montague it was to watch some soccer. We watched a few games and then took a strut around to try and find some unmentionable people... but of course they weren't out there. So after being out there for like 1.5-2 hours we headed back in town to UPEI to put a note on the Malibu...hahaha it's funny they didn't see it eh Ash?? lol
Next is back to Ashley's house to start drinking and getting ready to go out. Well actually at this point us going out was up in the air. We were both kinda tired and we didn't know if we wanted to go to Peakes or Myrons. So finally we start getting a bit tipsy and Myron's it is. We got there and 3 groups of guys whistled at us... Myron's never fails to have skeezy guys. So then some guys grabs Ashley's ass and she says something to her and I keep walking and I turn around to talk to her and theres some guy standing there, so he answered my question that I was asking Ashley lol. Then I told him I was asking her the question and we basically walked away to go meet up with Angela. So we find her and we're walking up the stairs and there is the guy again so we start talking to him, and then we go and dance. So we hung out with them at Myron's the entire night and just chatted with them for like an hour, and Ashley, Greg, Jon and I all took a shot of something.. I can't think of the name of it right now. Probably why we didn't feel so hot when we woke up the next day.
We found out that they're rugby players from Halifax and they are some of the nicest guys both Ashley and I have met. They're so down-to-earth and just genuinly sweet guys. They were really funny and they acted a lot like most of our friends do. So after Myron's we headed to UPEI rez with them to party it up some more because that's where they were staying. All we did was laugh and talk all night. Well until 6:30 Sunday morning! It's been a while since I've seen a sunrise and it felt so nice to enjoy it! Then it was my sprint to the finish line... okay my run to the Student Centre. Now that felt nice!
So next month we're gonna head over to Halifax and hopefully hang out with them for the weekend. The even funnier part is that they know the guys from Cole Harbour that we had met last summer and they told us what we already found out.. that they're all a bunch of assholes.
So that was basically my weekend, leaving out a few details but I'm really glad that we made the decisions we did this weekend and well Myron's thanks for re-opening!
