After hearing the commotion coming in the direction of the hospital, Ebony followed Siva Salene and Dax, all be it somewhat slowly. No sense in charging the entrance of the hospital all at once even if there was trouble. Upon reaching the scene, Ebony remained stationed in the doorway. There seemed to be more than enough people to deal with the situation and it was quickly being neutralized as it was. The Color Wars were really getting out of hand, that much was certain. Apparently even the City Hospital wasn't considered a neutral zone by either side. Even injured, both the Stingrays and Zappers were at each others throats, and as she stood there watching as one of the boys was dragged off to the cage room pending trial, the full realization of just how ridiculous the wars were really hit her.
The city had the potential to get back on its feet, to be better than it ever had been. To be truly great. With senseless fighting like this going on though it never would be. It was a waste of both manpower and energy, and part of her wanted to just let them go at it. To just sit back and watch as the city kids killed each other off one by one. Even as the thought entered her mind though, she knew she wouldn't stand by and just let that happen. This city was hers too. She'd been its leader, had fought for it more times than one, and had put far too much energy into it to let it just be overtaken by a bunch of halfwits fighting in some meaningless war.
Without a word, Ebony turned back around began to search the mall for Jay. She still hadn't seen him since that morning, and he was usually one of the first people there when trouble broke out. But he hadn't shown at all, even when the commotion had died down, and that worried her. Systematically, she went through the mall checking all the places he would likely be at but finding nothing. It was possible that he had gone out into the city, but dinner time was fast approaching and the fact that he hadn't yet returned worried her. An idea entered her mind that momentarily caused a halt in her forward pace before resuming once more, this time slightly quicker than before. If Ram was telling the truth and Java had gone missing, perhaps someone with a vendetta against the Technos were responsible. Just last week when she and Jay had gone out into the city they'd been approached by someone who wanted nothing more than to eat Jay for breakfast. The situation had been averted, but it had reminded them both that not everyone in the city was as forgiving of the Techno's occupation as the Mallrats were. As quickly as the possibility presented itself, Ebony consciously tried to shake it off. Overreacting to the situation wouldn't help anything and wouldn't bring Jay home any faster. He'd just gone out for a long walk and that was all there was to it, nothing more. Mentally reassuring herself only seemed to produce the opposite affect. Each time she replayed the words in her mind, that nothing had happened, that he was on his way back to the mall right then, Ebony's worry only increased as did her speed as she exited the mall.
Visually scanning the surrounding area, her gaze went over each person within site, staying positioned a fraction of a second longer on those with blond hair. It didn't take long before it became evident that Jay was no where in seeing distance, and Ebony's unease increased even more. The feel of the sun, no longer at its maximum heat but rather just illuminating the city with an orange glow made the feeling of unease creeping over her all
the worse. Day was fading, and Jay was no where to be seen. Feeling at a loss for what to do, and the thought of him being kidnapped by people who had it out for former Technos, Ebony did the only thing that came to mind. Cupping her hands around her mouth to magnify the sound, she yelled as loudly as her lungs would allow, taking short pauses to breath between each shout and listening for a response before resuming once more. "JJJJAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!! JJJJAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY!!!! JAJJJAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY!!!
JJJAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!..."
