Everyone you've ever known is doing something right now. They could be making a sandwich, falling asleep, dreaming about their ex lover, or feeding worms under the earth. They all exist, somewhere.
The person who you will end up marrying at some point is doing something right now too. He or she exists, right now, and knows you also exist. 'Course you might never get married. Its just a way of thinking about other people.
Everyone you've ever known, anyone you've met, is going to die, or is already dying, depending on how you think about it.
Do what you want to do. There isnt any point worrying about all the bad shit that happens to you or to anyone else. You only have one shot. Don't waste it.
