Nothing is real now,
Everything is fake,
Plastic masks and cellophane wrappers,
To much thinking is all that it takes.
One extra thought,
One piece of mind,
Just a little imagination,
Takes it from horrible to perfectly fine.
There is just one rule,
Tell yourself that it isn't real,
You can make it or break it,
You can change what you feel.
From the black eye-lining and cover-up,
To those bright strawberry lips,
From the image you put on,
To the feeling you had when you got your first kiss.
It was all a facade,
Just another chapter in a book,
As fake as a painting,
As fake as your pretend happy look.
Change it to all make-believe,
And you'll stay almost happy, like me,
Pretend it was fake,
Stay away from reality.
Yep. That's it. Critiquing, majorly welcomed.
