So I was reading Insanetimbo's nice entry talking about eating Jesus and all and I thought I'd share this paragraph I read from John G. Patton-Missionary to the New Hebridies(quoted in a Piper book). A man fearing for Patton's life as he was going to preach to an unreached cannibalistic tribe, warned, "you'll be eaten by cannibals!" And Patton's response was, "Your own prospect is soon to be laid in the grave, there to be eaten by worms; I confess to you , that if I can but live and die serving and honoring the Lord Jesus, it will make no difference to me whether I am eaten by cannibals or worms; and in the great day my resurrected body will arise as bright as yours in the likeness of our risen redeemer."
