I'm starting to think Connor dreads Christmas. When I mentioned earlier in the week that we should go and get our Christmas tree on Saturday, he got this sullen look on his face and asked if it would require him using one of his axes like last year. Like he doesn't have a ton of weapons? I know the tree sap sucks, but it's Christmas and I don't do fake trees.
Galen, Oz, Rhia and the girls went with us. We took both vans and chopped down three trees. One for our house, one for the girls apartment and one for Rhia's. Connor spent hours afterwards cleaning the blade while Taylor and I decorated the tree.
We worked Friday and Saturday night at the club and have today off. I asked Connor about going Christmas shopping today at the mall and the look on his face? He looked more scared of the mall than of the prospect of facing a log'lah demon and log'lah demons have two heads, six arms and spit acid out of their mouths.
I promised that I'd have my list ready and all we'd need to do is hit the stores to get the items on the list. That didn't seem to make him feel any better about it. Especially after he got a look at the list.
I reminded him that we only have to do this once a year. I think maybe I'll make him some pancakes and see if that cheers him up before we head out.
