Man, is it ever raining! So anyway, general update time:

New Year's Eve was awesome. Unfortunately I got no smooches, but... eh. That's more or less ok, or at least as ok as getting no smooches while being surrounded by smooching can ever be. Eh, not really, but not for its own sake. Meh, this isn't going to be another ciphered introspective drivel-fest, so I'll leave that subject be.

We started preparing to move the business today, so I can look forward to counting a lot of nuts for the next few weeks.

(Go ahead, you unoriginal bastards. Take the low-hanging fruit. I know how you all like the low-hanging fruits.

See what I did there?)

So, the business move means that my personal move to Fredericksburg is fast approaching. I found out today that I got the house I wanted, so I'm psyched about that. I now have a pretty awesome 2/1 and a super hot couch. Seriously, this couch has more game than I ever will (which doesn't say much, but it is an inanimate object). Behold!

I want to get a cool area rug and coffee table now, but I'm going to have to wait. Yes, I'm totally turning into the first half of Fight Club, wtf.

P.S. This is where I'd like to officially thank JJ for totally pulling the coffee-table cockblock on me and buying THIS hottness, which I was totally eyeing for myself:

Well, anyway... so that's on the near horizon. My lease here is up at the end of this month, so I'll be in Fburg full time by then, and probably spending a lot of time there before that. I'm headed down there this weekend to build some dividing walls with my dad, and work on getting the office set up.

What else... had to reschedule my outline, which was going to be last week, but Mike (the artist doing my ink) got the flu. Today I rescheduled for next Friday, so hopefully the stars won't align against me again ;)

I've been feeling a rare impetus lately, specifically that I should write another long surreal piece like Three Seasons. I hadn't really considering doing that before, so... I dunno. My whole mindset changes when I start working on something like that, and I can't quite tell if I'm serious yet or not. I have decided, however, that I'm just naturally better at writing surrealist prose and poetry, as opposed to the science fiction/western and Lovecraftian/hard-boiled detective story jaunts I went on last year.

It doesn't mean I won't work on that kinda stuff anymore, but I think... I dunno, I seem to get more out of the wordy stuff. It's more enriching, whereas writing fiction is more like brain candy. I started another surrealist piece early last year, based on the house I grew up in, but I'm not sure if I'm ready to return to it yet. Eh, I'm sure I'll end up boring you all to tears with the play-by-play as it progresses.

Uh... in other news the new Mars Volta album holy shit. Those guys are goddamned madmen.

And here we have an abrupt caesura.
