I really liked this. I get this real sense of baby Justin, his obsession with making people love him, and that last scene is great, how Chris reassures him, while bringing him back down to earth. All the other characters come through in their little scenes really well too; particularly the contrast of how Lynne deals with Justin's dilemma.

There are too many perfect lines to quote back: I loved the beginning with JC. The conversation with Trace was brilliant! I loved the explanation for the broken mirror and Justin's reaction! I liked all the little things they were doing like chopping tomatoes and being late to work and ironing. And you saved the best for last: Chris + Justin = ♥

Thank you! I love Trace. I think every fic should have a scene with Trace in it. Even if it's not about Justin. Doctor Who fic? Needs more Trace. Bandom fic? Trace! And yes, Chris + Justin = ♥ is so true.

Oh, wow. That is absolutely amazing! Every single character is so spot-on, and I love how the story circles closer and closer to the heart of the issue with each scene until Chris nails it at last. And then the double whammy of how Chris is the only one with quite enough distance to see through Justin and call him on his bullshit, and yet Justin also has Chris pinned and wriggling too. And, and! omg Justin's awareness of his own repertoire of expressions! and his just fundamental assumption that he can control things by taking action if he just works out the right actions to take! And Lynn so fondly creepy so we can see a glimpse of how Justin got this way! And in conclusion this just blew me away.
